hi folks -- i've got coworkers traveling to King of Prussia, PA for a couple of days of work and they want to go to dinner someplace great -- not necessarily continental cuisine or $$$$ good -- but something delicious and convivial and great. Maybe something very regional -- but I'm looking for a business dinner atmosphere -- not a GNR. They'll have cars but will probably want to stay out of the city proper -- which is my biggest issue.

Any rec's? Dinner's Monday and Tuesday of next week -- and I can't say I've been entirely successful in my websearches. Any help you can throw my way would be great.

    Thanks!

If there's anything that qualifies as "great" in that part of the world, I've yet to find it -- and it's not for lack of trying. Best I can offer is that the Neiman Marcus restaurant in the mall (I know, scraping bottom of the barrel here), is actually good... but it's only open for lunch. There are a couple of good to very good Indian places I can recommend if you're interested, but it doesn't sound like what your coworkers are after.

I recently returned from a work trip opening a Fresh Market in Glen Mills. Enjoyed some great pizza and subs(excuse me, "hoagies") at Brick Oven Pizza(a small franchise) and a near-In and Out-quality burger at Ruby's Diner(a regional franchise); better fries, amusing throwback uniforms on the jailbait waitresses...period interior(wait...that sounds weird)...I enjoyed my lunch eyeing the Baltimore Turnpike. Obviously, these do not qualify for a "business dinner."

I've got a friend in KOP who really enjoys a place called Creed's for business dinners. I myself haven't eaten there, but understand that it is pretty good for steaks, seafood, etc.

Just wanted to report back -- my colleagues had dinner at Creed's -- which I had already found before Ursiform had pointed it out to me -- seemed like a sign from God. Or Ursiform. <grin>

Anyhow -- they had a great dinner which they deemed a bit pricey but the food was quite respectable. Tonight they're doing something quick and local so I'm not involved.

    Thanks for your help!

Glad it worked out! My understanding of that immediate area is that there really aren't many nice or "good" restaurants, but rather a lot of very casual pizza/sandwich joints. I'm not surprised to hear that Creed's was pricey being one of the only formal restaurants in KOP. My pal usually heads out the area to find more interesting food choices, but likes Creed's as a solid local option.
