I did a quick search on here seeking weeknight dinner specials and had little luck finding any information. Maybe my research skills stink, which is entirely possibly.

In any event, does anyone know of any restaurants running weeknight dining specials in the Roscoe Village or Lincoln Square areas?

    Thanks,
    Katy

If you are willing to bend a bit on Lincoln Square, Jury's has some special every evening and for a few lunches. The specials boilerplate is in a column on the right side of their home page. I believe the Wednesday special burger price has been mentioned on this board and has been noted as attracting crowds. The Monday and Tuesday dinner specials are probably the best deals. Jury's also has an e-mail newsletter and a birthday list giving a free meal in the month of your birthday. They also randomly send out a few "you win" e-mails offering one free sandwich or entree (up to $12) each month. We got a January one and cashed it in today.

Jury's will be closed for several days in late January or early February for floor replacement in the kitchen and bar areas. Our waitress at lunch today said it really is needed.

    Jury's
    4337 North Lincoln
Corner of Pensacola, which is one block south of Montrose. This is one physical block south of Lincoln Square's southern boundary, contrary to what a lot of the print media seem to think.

Many specials are listed at metromix.com under the dining section.
Some posts are out of date, so I suggest calling establishments to make sure they are still offering the specials.

Kuma's had 1/2 price wine bottles on SATURDAY! Too bad I wasn't with any wine drinkers. They also offer the Kuma burger (one of my favs in town) on Tuesday for 6 dollars. It doesn't sound like a deal, but it IS a lot of food. The fries on Saturday were a combo of sweet and white potato.

    Kuma's

La Luce also has $$ saving specials througout the week.

Two deals that satisfy my occasional craving for fried fish are:

    (i) All-you-can-eat Fish & Chips ($10) at the Duke of Perth on Wednesdays and Fridays.
(ii) All-you-can-eat Catfish (Fried or Blackened for $10) at Stanley's on Friday.

Also, can I just add that the Sweets & Savories' 1/2-off deal on Tuesdays is amazing. Combine that with their free BYOB and dining there on Tuesdays is a real bargain. My girlfriend and I enjoyed 9 courses (including 2 desserts) for $54 (including tax/tip) two weeks ago. I particularly enjoyed their black truffle ice cream and lavender ice cream at the end.
