Lunch or Dinner in the South Suburbs

I was looking through the GNR list today and got this urge to go to Cunis Candies. As a former south sider now living in the nw burbs who remembers Cunis from the old days, I know making the drive is worth it. However, as long as I'm heading to the south burbs, I thought it would be worth it to check out what else is around. I'd like to get a good lunch or dinner then go to Cunis for dessert. Any suggestions?
