    Yes, that's right. Local(ish) peaches in June! And they are incredibly juicy, sweet and delicious. From a farm in southern Indiana. If you're in teh neighborhood toady, try to get em while they last.

    Odd. I picked up CA (I believe that was the origin) organic white peaches from Whole Paycheck. It was the first peach of season & delicious. It was not at the height of the peach schnapps peachy perfection that I expect a bit later in the season but a fantastic sign of the season to come.

    If anyone finds good peaches between now and next weekend, please let me know...I was thinking of making roasted peach ice cream for a birthday BBQ on June 5th. Maybe half a batch plain and half a batch with some candied ginger thrown in.

    Hi,

    Peach season in Georgia begins in May though September. In our immediate region, it is late July-August.

    This morning at Green City Market, I talked to Dan from Seedlings & he thinks their peaches maybe a bit early this season... mid-July.
