I'd like to try making a couple pizzas inspired by my visits to Great Lake. Does anybody know where you can get Mona cheese?

    Thank you!

Thanks. I called Bin 36 on Saturday, and they said they don't have it.

I'd try contacting someone from the WSDC for retail options in the area.

I was really enamored with Mona when I first tried it, and I believe I bought some at Fox & Obel. You might try calling there.

It's not currently at F&O. Thanks for all your suggestions! I'll keep calling around.

I would try calling Curds and Whey- the post above listed them as a "distributor" but it looks like they have a retail location inside of a restaurant.
    http://www.curdsandwheycheesecompany.com/about

    Restaurant is Ingelnook Pantry-
    11 N 5th St Geneva, IL 60134 - (630) 377-0373

I live in Geneva and know that it's a bit of a haul to get out here. If you take the Metra out Inglenook is a walkable distance. Maybe a 10 minute walk? It's also about a block away from Bien Trucha - http://lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=14844&hilit=bien+trucha and you could make it a one-two punch by following it with Graham's Chocolates http://www.grahamschocolate.com/ which turns out some very good "Homemade" ice creams.

Even if they don't have the cheese I think Bien Trucha would be worth the train ride. ;-)

Oh, I forgot to mention- Geneva has plenty of free street parking if you decide to drive.
