I recently had lunch at El Taconazo restaurant and really enjoyed it. They have a few locations throughout the city and have been mentioned a few times on the board. They start you with chips and four different kinds of salsa. All tasty, I especially enjoyed the green molcajete salsa. I ordered three tacos, chile relleno, carne asada, and carnitas. The chile relleno had a cheese filling and a nice light breading. Carna asada was cooked on a griddle but still delicious and tender. I ordered the carne asada with everything which means onion, cilantro, and avocado, a little different than your standard toppings. My last taco was carnitas which also was very tasty.

Things I want to try for my next visit are the birria and the al pastor which I noticed while paying at the register. Had me wishing I also ordered an al pastor taco. A few other interesting menu items were caldo de pescado and caldo de camarón. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

I returned for a second visit with my parents this past Saturday and had another good experience. Birria is weekend only and I ordered three tacos- birria, chile relleno, and al pastor. The birria was very tasty, tender and well seasoned. The al pastor was also well cooked, with a crispy texture, and soft on the inside. Chile relleno was just as good as the first time. All in all I enjoyed everything I tried.

My mom ordered the menudo which she said was delicious. My dad had three tacos, barbocoa, tounge. I forgot the third, but everyone had only positive things to say about the meal.
