Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for fried chicken, but I love this place. The first time or two I went I got a half chicken (first sassy, then bbq) and it was good, but the wings are the way to go (the chicken pieces dried out too much for me). The wings are very large, fried hard (which I like and with wings that large they still have juicy insides even with a good crunchy fry job), and I think that the bbq sauce is awesome. Authentic? Probably not (I can't say I'd know as I'd never had Korean fried chicken before this place) but man is it tasty.

Maybe there are places in town or out in the burbs that do a better job, but being a 5-block walk from my house, I can get a pot of water going, call in my order, take the dog for his walk, grab the wings on the way, blanch some veggies when I get home, and be a very happy camper for the evening.

Crisp has been closed for quite a few days in a row leading me to believe that it may have met its demise. No sign in the window indicating a vacation or anything of the sort. Too bad. It wasn't the kind of place that made one want to write home to mom. But, it was a nice addition to the neighborhood.

Supposedly, it is not closing, the owners just have some family issues. Hopefully it'll reopen this week? Keep us posted tho, I was planning on taking the in-laws there next weekend.

Working with my startup team, DuckDuckDish, and we got a takeout order here. The Buddha bowls did not impress me at all and the fried chicken was nothing special either. I tried the Plain Jane, Korean BBQ and Seoul Sassy wings and tenders. The BBQ in particular was really oily.
