Swim Cafe: in praise of a sandwich [closed]

Who else is a fan of the food at this place? There was no topic for it when I searched so let this be a place for it's praise.

The sandwich of the day (sorry, no camera with me) encapsulates why I love this place so much: Bacon, Arugala, Peaches, Bleu Cheese & Balsamic on Focaccia. Amazing, and a value at $7 with a side salad of fresh mixed

I think Swim has solid, coffee-shop sandwiches. I like their prosciutto-mozzarella sandwich. Served with a side of viniagrette-tossed mixed greens salad, it's a well-rounded, filling lunch. More than that, I think Swim serves good coffee, something that's become rarer at all types of coffee shops. I'm a fan of Swim.

Swim is my go to for a quick, on the healthier side, lunch. The $6.50 lox deluxe is one of the best deals in the 'hood and even the bagel is not half bad (not sure their source). The ham and cheese panini satisfies with dijon, avocado, and capers. Beef with brie is not half bad either. I eat at Swim probably every other week, I dig it.

Karen Gerod, former owner of Swim Cafe, passed away on July 7.
