I'm hosting a dinner on Monday night, July 27th. It's the cook's night off, so I am offering a complimentary beer or wine pairing for attending chefs/cooks.
    Otherwise, it's byob.
The dinner will be at Quench The Experience, a soulfood restaurant on the west side.
Address is 5815 W. Madison Street.
Here is the menu (prix fixe) :
    * Coq au Vin Blanc Chicken and Waffles
    * Urban Greens and Peaches, Plum Vinaigrette, blue cheese
    * Oyster mushroom crab ravioli, chicken consomme
    * Cobia Etouffee w/ Pearl Barley
    * Blueberry Moonpie, Blueberry Ice Cream (R/C Cola on the side)

We're using chef-butchered chicken, greens from City Farm, pit fruit and blueberries from Seedling in MI, and oyster mushrooms from River Valley in WI.

Cooks include myself (Efrain Cuevas), Nikki Stanger, and Shango Butler.

    You can make reservations here:

    Thanks for your interest!

Wish we could, Efrain, but we have a tasting next Monday. One of these days we won't be working...right?
