My fiance and I are going all out and spending the extra $10 to get married at the cultural center (instead of just at city hall). I'm somewhat of an anti-bride (my wedding dress is knee-length and kelly green), so the thought of a traditional wedding reception turns my stomach. We've decided to go out to brunch/lunch after the 10 minute ceremony with our immediate family (about 16 people with a few kids thrown in for good measure). I'm looking for suggestions as to a good spot to celebrate on a Saturday during brunch/lunch hours. I don't want formal or haute cuisine (his parents are from Iowa, anything that comes across their plate that they haven't seen before is automatically "interesting", not in a good way). Food quality is definitely a priority over atmosphere. A private dining area and liquor would be fantastic as I don't know quite how well this group well meld together

I have a budget of about $1000 (minus $45 for the license and ceremony fee). I've already threatened Stuckey's (mom was not amused at the prospect of pecan logs for everyone). Any ideas???
Thank you!!!!
