The menu looks interesting. Anybody tried this breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Naperville yet?

PBandFluff and I took the little ones there a couple of weeks ago. I thought that it was good, but a little pricy for breakfast. I had an Oatmeal griddle type cake, sorry I can't remember the exact name. It was good, but I thought it was expensive for what you got. The kids had what were described as silver dollar pancakes, but what came out was three 6 inch pancakes. Overall, the pancakes tasted good. I saw some people have a granola yogurt parfait that looked pretty good.

The advertise a juice bar, but when I inquired, was told that they had fresh squeezed grapefruit and orange juice. There appeared to be an actual bar in the back of the place, but I am uncertain if the juice bar was just not operating yet. It seemed quite strange to advertise it, but only have two fresh juices.

On another note, the room needed some background music. It felt somewhat like a funeral home at 7:45A on a Saturday morning.

I would go back in a few weeks to try again. It is a good location.

Thanks for posting about your experience...I was wondering about this place. We usually go to Egg Harbor, but it can be quite crowded on the weekends. I would imagine that downtown N'ville can support another breakfast place (based on the overflow from Egg Harbor alone). As an aside, I was surprised to see Corner Bakery move out of that space -- we occasionally used to go there for a quick breakfast, and I actually thought their breakfast was decent. I'm not sure how well CB is doing out on Diehl Road, and I won't be making the drive out there to find out.

We managed to get to Tangerine on Saturday for breakfast. Based on just one visit, this (so far) is easily the best breakfast place I've found in Naperville. My daughter and I tried the Tuscan skillet; potatoes, tomatoes, basil, provolone, topped with two perfectly cooked poached eggs. Great, fresh flavor and too much for me to finish. My husband had a southwestern skillet that was the days special. I didn't try it but he really enjoyed it. I'm not sure what all of the components were but it had fresh slices of avocado on top and a salsa that he couldn't stop raving about. His eggs, over easy, were also perfectly cooked. The space is a little loud but it has the feel of a casual breakfast place that I'm very comfortable with. The coffee kept flowing and for only being open a few weeks, I think they're on the right track. For me, I finally have a reason to go out for breakfast and I'm hoping they do well.

P.S. I should also mention that they had some interesting looking sandwiches and salads.

Finally tried this place last weekend. I thought that the food was pretty good, but, candidly, not nearly as good as Egg Harbor (IMO) so I don't know how often we'll go back. I also thought that it was a little pricey for what we got (I ordered the banana/pecan pancakes with a side of sausage and the Mrs. ordered a breakfast sandwich -- with coffee, our bill, with tip, came to almost $35). However, all that being said, it does seem like they're on the right track, and it is nice to have another option. It is a nice space, and I like what they've done with it -- it seems much bigger than it did when it was CB. (As an aside, we were a bit worried for them as the place was virtually empty when we arrived at around 8:30am on a Sunday; but, by the time we left it seemed like they were starting to fill up.)
