They did as of... July 6 (last time I was there). And a yelp review from 7/29 says that it's still active, and $14.95.

edit: I should note that when I say "any fish special" i mean "any fish special". That doesn't include the scallop or crab cake specials. The before-6pm deal is different: any of four of the fish specials (usually tilapia, perch, catfish, and trout, I think), plus soup, salad, and sides, for $12.95 or so.

Been a while since I've been to Glenn's and sea bass with anchovy-garlic butter seems to be calling my name.

I too am trying to learn more about appreciating fish, in restaurants as well as stores. If this isn't out of place in this thread, I have a question:

I psyched myself up to grill some red snapper when I saw it advertised (origin unknown) in a Lewis Market (Waukegan) flyer advertised for $3.99/lb. Haven't bought it yet, though. Today I saw red snapper, USA source, in Sunset for $22.98/lb! Even after adjusting for the Sunset markup and the Lewis Market markdown, those prices are worlds apart. Can anyone tell me which if either of them they trust? Or am I better off heading to Mitsuwa Market or someplace else? What is a good ballpark price per pound for quality red snapper?

Once it was determined that people will pay a lot of money for red snapper, integrity-challenged fish merchants began to label everything this side of turkey as "red snapper". What you're getting for $3.99/lb may well be tasty, but it sure as hell ain't red snapper.

Also: Add Asian Bistro to my list above.

You may want to check out Flamingo's Seafood in Mount Prospect (thread: here). It's been a while since I was there but I remember most entrees being low $20's and high teens. The fish/seafood are of excellent quality, and the preparations are distinctive and delicious.
