    We are happy to be partnering again with Francesca's Tavola in Arlington Heights on Wednesday, August 19th at 7pm for another fun filled evening of food and wine featuring the wines of Cusumano.

    If you are unfamiliar with Cusumano, here is a little background information. The estate is run by third generation winemakers and brothers Diego & Alberto Cusumano. Cusumano is one of the largest wineries in Sicily with over 1000 acres of vineyards allowing them to take advantage of the many different micro-climates and soils in the region. This also gives them the ability to produce a wide range of wines that are made utilizing both native and international grape varietals. While the winemaking is done with a modern touch the wines still retain a sense of place. These are fun, fruit forward, well made wines that appeal to a wide range of wine drinkers at very fair prices. Sergio Valsecchi from VinDivino Imports will be on hand to guide us through the selections from this estate.

    2007 Cusumano Nero D'Avola

    Salmone All' Acqua Pazza
    Roasted Wild King Salmon with a spicy cherry tomato sauce, capers, garlic and white wine, served on a bed of sauteed spinach
    2007 Cusumano Pinot Nero

    Grigliata Di Carne alla Siciliana
    Grilled lamb, veal and sausage with braised caponata
