A recent recipe for a
Bacon, Lettuce and Plum sandwich in the NYT's jumped out and bit me. So I whipped up a couple and bit back.
Plum, garlic, lemon, sage, thyme, basil
Puree garlic with salt, chop herbs, add with lemon juice to mayo.
Herb mayo, sliced plums
Layer on toasted bread, I went triple decker
Mirai Sweet Corn and BLP
BLP was tasty, interesting change of pace from the classic BLT. I plan on trying the BLP again with riper, juicier, sweeter plums. I had minor foot surgery the day before and swung at the first plum pitch instead of hitting another source for riper plums.
