Does anyone know if there's a place that makes good fruit smoothies in the loop? Ideally, I'm looking for a place that uses fresh fruit and doesn't add a ton of sugar or syrup. I can't be the only person who doesn't like Jamba Juice.

Jamba does have all-fruit/juice options. I dn't care for their sherbet-based drinks, but the fruit ones aren't bad. Otherwise, try Kramer's on Wabash or any Jaffa Bakery location.

Osaka Sushi on Michigan at Congress has really good fruit smoothies. I don't think I've ever actually tried the sushi

I am a big smoothie fan though I have not worked in the loop for a couple years. When I was last in the loop at Wacker and Michigan my daily stop was Brian's for quality smoothies and juices. The smoothies are generally fresh fruit, sometimes frozen, and you can request fruit only as well as additives. If you go regularly they have punch cards for a free 10th smoothie or something along those lines.

You can also check google smoothie search which lists bunches of smoothie options.

Lastly, If I had to pick the single best option it would be to take the river taxi to Joy Yees in Chinatown for a great bubble tea and an amazing round trip.

Several Asian places do bubble-tea style smoothies (definitely not just fruit - they use flavor powders in addition to fruit) that are pretty good. Tamarind and Amarit are very good (for South Loop options) as is My Thai.

You might want to give Cafecito a look. They now have batidos (sort of a cross between a milkshake and a tropical-fresh-fruit-smoothie).

Protein Bar, on Franklin across from Willis Tower.

They seem to have creative smoothies, with lots of healthy options.
Plus the cheapest price on kumbucha I've found in the Loop.....
