I'm heading to Chicago at the end of September to attend an arbitration hearing for the railroad I worked for in order to get my job back. Long story short. I am huge into food and watched the No reservations episode on Chicago. I only have two days to get in everything I want to eat there and am hoping to meet someone that can show me around to where the locals eat and everything in between. Love street food and all the hidden gems Chicago has to offer, however I do not have the faintest idea how to get around or where even to start. Any help is greatly appreciated.

As far as getting around, I'm assuming you won't have a car. Chicago has good public transit. CTA buses and trains will get you just about everywhere. www.transitchicago.com for public transit information. There's a trip planner function on the homepage.
