Periodically, posters inquire specifically about finding a restaurant that is open on Mondays. I think a thread dedicated to a list of Monday-friendly suggestions could be as useful as the "Closed on..." thread. A quick Google/LTH search netted me this list, which I have not confirmed, but serves as a good place to start:

    Riccardo Trattoria
    A Tavola
    Sola
    Mercat a la Planxa
    Bin 36
    Custom House
    David Burke's
    Kiki's Bistro
    Mon Ami Gabi
    Nomi
    Roy's
    Sweets & Savories
    Big Jones
    Bistro Campagne
    Sepia
    Crofton on Wells
    Publican
    Gaetano's
    Cemitas Puebla
    Semiramis
    Lao Sze Chuan
    Katy's Dumplings
    Quartino

I'm certain there are many more...

The "open on Monday" place I don't ever forget now is TAC Quick because: they. are. closed. on. Tuesdays. It took me far too long to remember that. :D

Great idea for a thread. I spent quite some time yesterday looking for a place that would be open for a breakfast date with a friend today. I eventually found:

    -Svea
    -Pannenkoeken
    -Uncommon Ground

Kenny, that's completely inappropriate here, as you well know. Please go find the hours for Five Guys and Sonic, and make amends.

No offense intended to tapler, but are we really going to try to list here all of the places in Chicago that are open on Monday? There are far better places for that on the internet.

That said... Five Guys is open on Mondays. So is Taco Bell.

For the North Shore crowd - New York Slices (in Highland Park) is not only open on Mondays, but they have 1/2 price pizzas (and these are 20" big!) every Monday after 5pm. You could freeze most of one, and make a few meals out of one pizza.

Where? I'm expecting this forum to replace Google as a search engine for everything.
