This year's Hop Juice from Two Brothers is extremely reminiscent of 120 Minute. The imperial half-pint I had from Hopleaf recently was thick, syrupy, cloudy and so hoppy it went past hoppy (like going to Ludicrous speed in Spaceballs) and into a sweet flavor.

You know, I didn't get such a strong flavor from the bottle of Hop Juice I opened last night. It was... fine? Decent hop flavor, pretty heavy body but it didn't blow me away like other (year-round) double IPA's. The bottle of Double Crooked-Tree I had afterwards was much more 'screaming hop flavor', I felt, reminding me of Arctic Panzer Wolf.

I really want to like Two Brothers (go go local beer!), but I remain pretty underwhelmed with most of their beer. Cane & Ebel is good and Domaine DuPage is excellent with food; the rest of their line-up isn't bad, either, just nothing that I look forward to drinking.
    best,
    dan

I've never been much of a Two Brothers fan, save for Cane & Ebel & Dog Days (when it's in good condition) and I just don't like the other IPAs that Two Brothers makes. They aren't necessarily bad, but Hop Juice is just a bit sloppy to me, and Heavy Handed is just not good. I'll take Three Floyds any day over Two Brothers...
