With Sun Wah in it's original location coming close to an end (I believe Kelly put the date as being Sept. 15), I thought it would be nice to have an LTH dinner there before it makes the move. Friday the 11th would work best for me, but I could also do the 12th, or even Monday the 14th. Bears season opener is Sept. 13, Sunday night game vs Green Bay, so that's not happening! Any interest out there?

I'd be interested but I need to check my Sox tickets to see what nights I'm available. One of those should evenings should work.

So I should have read the tips and guidelines for event planning before making my original post...my fault. That being said, I think it should Friday the 11th since the LTH picnic is on the 13th, and it might not be such a great idea to have another event the day before or after the picnic. I'm thinking sometime between 7 and 8 pm...and I would think a group as large as 12-15 would be okay. That would allow us to order a variety of dishes (Peking duck anyone?) and share with each other. I know this is short notice, but let's try to have a guest list some what nailed down by the 9th. I think I've covered everything. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

Sounds like a great plan. Just tell Kelli to cook for us. Add me for 1. I suspect you might have many takers, so you might check on the maximum number.

I recently had an enormous meal there of Peking duck and numerous other dishes and it was $20 pp. with a generous tip included.

I agree with Jazzfood...I'd think it would come out to around 20 dollars pp with a generous tip and lots of dishes.

    I'm still definitely in!

"FEAST" does mean Peking duck, doesn't it, Kelly? Other than that, I'm sure any menu you come up will be terrific, as always.

I vote for any day but the 12th as that is the LTH Potluck. I am going to go ahead and say that Fifille and I will be there. I haven't confirmed with her but I do not imagine it will be hard to talk her into it if the garlic fried ribs will be on the table :)

The date is pretty much set for Friday the 11th, unless there is a significant amount of people who would prefer Monday the 14th. Kelly said she can accommodate 40 people, and I'm hoping we can get at least a group of 20 of us, so Kelly and the kitchen can really go all out. Right now we have about 10. It sounds like it should be an amazing feast.

Hi - longtime lurker here, planning to post a review of Michael some time this week when work and unpacking is less crazy (all the commentary on newbies' first posts gave me reason to compose it more carefully!)

However, my mom lives right by Sun Wah, and we've had three excellent dinners there as a duo and would love to be part of a larger feast so we can try more!

Can we be in for 2?

    Thanks!

I think I'm losing my mind. I told a friend today that I was going to attend this event. I thought I had posted as much, but I see no indication here that I did so. Weird. I'm the vegetarian, but how hard can it be at a great cooking Chinese restaurant to get good food. Count me in for my maiden voyage to this GNR.
