As I have nominated Naf-Naf Grill in Naperville for a GNR Award, I thought it would be nice to set up a meal there for those of you who have not yet had a chance to try it (and for those of you who have already tried it and liked it). We will meet at Naf-Naf at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6th. I think they can accommodate around a dozen or so people, maybe a few more if there is enough interest.

We can decide what we want to order when we arrive. Naf-Naf is very family friendly, if you are thinking of coming with your kids. Prices are very reasonable. They do have a menu on their website. To find the menu with prices, click on the printable pdf menu.

Please respond here if you plan to attend. There are enough vegetarian entrees to satisfy those who don't eat meat. Good food, good company -- what more can you ask for from a converted Taco Bell in Naperville?

I hope you can join us!

    Suzy

Count us in for 2 please! We just went to Naf Naf for the first time on Saturday (8/29) and loved it! My vegetarian partner was very happy with the Hummus topped with Falafel while I had Beef Kifta Kabob in pita. We'd love to go back and sample more at this delightful place.

I would happily join you but I'll be out of the country. Maybe another time. It's just a few minutes from my office.

Is there room for 2 more? The wife and I drove into town for the weekend and would love to join everyone for lunch.

Absolutely! Looking forward to seeing you two, Flip!

If anyone else wants to join in, please do so. There will be room for several more people and it will expand our ordering power.

Thanks to all who showed up for lunch yesterday. With Glennpan taking me at my word and just showing up, we were a group of nine altogether. I don't have pictures, but a good amount of food from Naf-Naf's menu was ordered and consumed. We were running a tad late, but I noticed a veggie plate, hummous and falafel, along with some of the Morroccan cigars, had been consumed by the group when we got there. We also ordered schnitzel, chicken schwarma, the beef tenderloin and the beef kifta, along with more hummous and falafel. Plates were passed around and I hope everyone got to try a little of everything they were interested in. There wasn't much left over, and a couple of people ordered coffee and some date pastries to round out their meal. We got an order of the Israeli salad and some date cookies to go for our daughter just before leaving.

Every time I come here, I try something else. This time it was the chicken schwarma. It was delicious, nicely moist, and I would definitely consider ordering it the next time I eat there (which will be soon).

We enjoyed our fine meal and fine company as well! It's rare to find a place that also makes my vegetarian partner happy and full! I had the kifta on my first visit but this time I tried the tenderloin and schwarma which were both flavorful and moist but I'm not so sure I'd have schnitzel again, it was a little dry. I guess I'm used to a pork schnitzel. There was several orders of hummous, falafel, Israeli salad, baba ghanoush and tabule passed around as well, I think we pretty much all cleaned our plates!

Who would believe there was an LTH meal with no photographer!?!

Great food, and good company. Thanks for setting this up Suzy.
