Does anyone know whether Panang is slated to re-open since their fire?

When I picked up food from the Penang in Arlington Heights about 4 weeks ago they had no idea when, or even if, the Chinatown location would be re-opening.

Word on the street is that the owners of the building are seeking new tenants.

It's like deja vu all over again.

I'd make a trek out to the one in Arlington Heights - there are zero indications that the Chinatown Penang will be re-opening at this point, let alone any time soon.

I think Penang Arlington Heights may be my most visited restaurant, I'm there at least once per month.

    Some recent standouts:
    Goat Rendang
Skate wing in banana leaf w/Malaysian BBQ spices
    baby oyster omelette

    Penang Malaysian
    1720 W Algonquin Rd
    Arlington Heights, IL 60005

I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

Mr. Maki and I were there about a year ago...their food was good, but way too salty, which is too bad. I'd go back if not for that.
