octarine, i hope this was a typo. the picnic is a sunday this year, the 13th, not the 12th. justjoan

    Kelly,

I am game for pig blood. I just hope it's kosher.

Did we ever establish an official start time for this dinner?

As for the pig blood, I've always said I will try anything--once.... although I was recently watching a Korean soap where they were eating hagfish. Don't look it up on Wikipedia unless you want to have nightmares! So pig blood OK, but I'm permanently crossing hagfish off the list of things I will ever try, even once.

I really dislike being a last minute backer-outer and I've truly been looking forward to this, but although I say yes, yes, yes, my bank account just delivered a resounding no, no, no. I'll look forward to the pics of this epic feast, so sorry to not be able to join you!

I just noticed that a some unfortunates have to bow out after the final count was in.

I'd reluctantly passed on this feast because, until recently, I was getting over a cold and was conserving myself to be able to attend the Picnic.

But my stomach--like Nature--abhors a void, so I guess I need to step in now to help adjust the numbers and balance of the food universe (in typical LTH-hero-fashion.)

    Count me in.
