    Hi everyone,

I got great advice a while back when looking for a restaurant to play host to the first official parental meeting between my parents and the boyfriend's parents.

Well now it's wedding time! We're making reservations for a few nights leading up to the Oct wedding, and we're looking at Mado for one night (sans grandparents but with parents) and MK for the other. I've never been to Mado, and I haven't been to MK in at least 6 years. Can anyone comment on the noise level at these two restaurants? I was assuming MK would be the better restaurant noise-wise for the night grandparents are in town. Would people agree?

    many thanks!

Noise level at Mado, even at peak time on a Saturday night 2 weeks ago, was a complete non-issue.

It's been a while, but if memory serves MK is actually pretty loud.

Thank you Vitesse98 - I don't know why I was assuming it would be quiet there.

Good to hear. What decision did you make after you got that great advice? How did it turn out?

After all the great advice, we ended up going to Crofton on Wells at my father's request. It was good, though I did not find it memorable...but that may simply be because I was very nervous :)

The one dish I do remember really enjoying was the wild mushroom appetizer, which appears to still be on the menu.

More importantly, everyone seemed to get along very well. So hopefully I won't feel nervous for this round of meals out together!
