I'm looking for a place in Chicago city limits that does GREAT things with smoked or roasted pork (preferably a Central or South American influenced place). Thanks!

Any specific ideas? Central America and South america, Generically, are not so well known as bastions of smoked or roasted pork. Caribbean (N America) and Mexico (same) are a different story.

I'm not sure I have the food vocabulary to explain exactly what I was looking for. Regardless, I ended up going to Mixteco Grill 1601 W Montrose Ave Chicago IL 60613 US 773-868-1601
I had a wonderful roasted pork dish (I forgot the name of it but it's the first one on the menu). I also had the chocolate cake. Outstanding! Sorry my review is so lame but I'm still feeling the malbec I bought across the street (yes it's byob).

The pork tacos at Xni-pec and Cemitas pueblas are both out of this world, but Xni-pec is technically outside the city, however much closer to the northside than many places still within those limits.
