Doesn't Moon's look not merely closed but abandoned in the desert on its best day?

Just called hoping to get Henry or one of the other cooks (I believe they get there around 5:30AM) -- no answer.

Not ready to hang crepe yet. Perhaps they had some kind of plumbing or electrical emergency and had to close for repairs.

Bad news. I drove by this morning, and pulled in front to find that the security gate was drawn across the entirety of the storefront. Through one of the windows, I could see some amount of mess inside. There was a sign glued to the front which said the establishment was closed. Curiously, the sign was dated July 19, 2009.

    LTH,

Just talked to JR, owner of Moon's, he said they would be reopening, hopefully by end of next week.

I, for one, am very happy to hear Moon's closing is but a blip.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

Was one of the posts edited, without notation, to remove information about who posted the "closed" sign? I was surprised when I saw what I'm recalling as the original text posted and not deleted entirely - given the quick removal of similar comments in other discussions - but the source of the sign is an important piece of information and may have some bearing on whether or not the restaurant will re-open, or re-open quickly. Maybe my eyesight has failed me - or my memory. :?

Neither your eyesite nor your memory has failed you. The source of the sign, once in the post, is now gone.

It's fine to discuss it if there's an official source or report in the media.
