Sorry for the belated update but it was one of those beyond-my-control type of days.

Breakfast this morning was a couple of cold slices of the leftover Barnaby's pizza from Tuesday night.

Today, I was out of the office for lunch but he ordered again from The Original Il Forno in Highland Park. Happily, one of my partners captured the following images . . .

    Image
I'm the one who stupidly introduced him to this pizza, which he says is his favorite of the month so far. D'OH!

    Day 15, baby!

A short while ago, I received a text telling me that dinner tonight was from H  memade Pizza Company in Glencoe. He went with a sausage, onion and jalapeno.

Tomorrow morning he heads out of town again until Sunday. I doubt I'll be receiving any pics unless he hits the bottle pretty hard while he's gone but I expect a few updates along the way, which I will pass along here.

He's still not quite half-way there, so some hope remains . . .

Ronnie, if I were you, I'd negotiate a shorter-term immediate payout: 75% if you just end it here, or something like that. You're done. This guy is going to coast to the finish line.

Maybe you can hedge by betting against someone else who thinks he'll fail.

That assumes there's someone out there who thinks failure is likely. I can't imagine there's anyone out there who knows of Pizzaboy's accomplishments thus far and still doubts him.

Ah, or perhaps a visit to THUNDERCANS?

    LOL!

I've decided to start playing dirty next week at work. I'm going to bring in the "best" lunches, baked goods and snacks I can reasonably get my hands on. Odds are he won't break down during a meal but after lunch each day, I plan to leave the food in plain view, make some 'rogue' plates, leave them outside his office, etc. I'm hoping that enough good stuff laying around the office all day might lead to just one involuntary bite, which would be an instant win for me. I may even have to break out the Hot Pockets. 8)

PizzaBoy has definitely got the edge here so I say go as far as you need to. I'm thinking your best bet is to get him sloshed on his boy Jack this weekend near a smorgasbord of delicious sweets...see if he resists when he's three sheets to the wind.

Those pizza cones look awful, yet oddly delicious, yet awful. Like Totino's Pizza Rolls. I bet they'd sell like gangbusters from a cart on Division St. around 2am. "*ding ding ding* Pizzaletas! $3 each!"

I'd assume that these Crispy Cones fall under the same heading as Pizza Rolls and pizza-flavored Hot Pockets for the purposes of this bet.

It's funny, I was at Foodstuffs in Evanston the other day, and in their freezer case was momentarily lulled into the thought that their mini pizzas were something I should buy: like the pic, they were cute and bite-sized (though not cone-shaped. FWIW they come in sausage flavor) I came to my senses, though, realizing that making those at home and freezing them would be just about as easy as defrosting Foodstuff's version.

Just heard from our boy that breakfast was cold slices of some of the leftover pizza from Homemade.

One of my other partners was out buying Halloween costumes for his kids yesterday and happened upon this beauty . . .

Needless to say, our boy is refusing to wear it but we've offered to provide a cape, too, which might change his mind.

I think you really have to give it to the food photographer and art director in these pizza cone shots. No way they really could be cooked to look like that. How would the sauce stay on the outside and the cheese brown and dome a little like that. I can't stop looking at the pizza cones. Kudos to the the artists for making what must be horrid food look good to this board.

See, I would be trying the opposite tactic at about this point. I would be lauding him for all that he's already accomplished, and pointing out how impressive his internet followers think it has been. He's already eaten so much more sausage pizza than any lesser man could fathom, so who could fault him if he snuck in a candy bar at some point? He'd still be a legend.

First and foremost, I'm a veggie pizza guy. If I have meat on my pizza, sausage and especially pepperoni are my last choices. Bacon is king, followed by well.....not much else other than veggies. I am, however, a meat eater and will eat sausage/pepperoni pizza on occasion. Unlike others on this board, this thread is making me less likely to crave sausage pizza. While the most interesting and addictive thread on LTH, it's driving me further away from eating pizza. Any kind.

Ronnie - I believe you lost this bet. I wouldn't have believed it a few days ago, but ole boy is half way through and shows no signs of slowing down.
