    I'm a long time Vito & Nicks' fan, 83rd & Pulaski ONLY!!!!!!!!

Going out soon with friends. Was planning on Vito& Nicks, but they have a limited menu, BUT GREAT thin crust.

    Any thoughts???
    Thanks

Dang. I had been wanting to try Parker's Oceanside, blew that one. No interest in a pizza place.

I always have liked Parker's, and, upon reading this, checked out their website. FWIW, although the name (and concept) have changed somewhat, it looks as though they still primarily have a seafood-oriented, high-end menu (in other words, it really doesn't look like a pizza place, per se). In fact, I didn't even see pizzas mentioned on their (dinner) menu. It looks like it's worth checking out.

Have been there twice in the last week and a half. Dinner a week ago Saturday--my ahi tuna was very good and my wife loved the butter-poached lobster w/green pea & applewood bacon risotto. Split the surf & turf sliders as an appetizer, also very tasty. Creme brulee for dessert was nice, not overly special.

Had lunch this past Friday. Decided to split the sliders again and try the pizza margherita. Ask the staff to explain the certification process for their pizza....seems to be a point of pride. Very, VERY good, IMO. Split the bread pudding for dessert, which was head & shoulders above the creme brulee. By the way, my wife thought the kobe slider (ordered medium well) was undercooked. I was rather pleased at that fact. For the record, even when it was medium well at dinner the week before, it was still quite good.

Service is quite friendly, with only minor lapses.

We only went to the Ocean Grill once, many years ago. Don't know why we didn't get back. Now we intend to go more often.
