Has anyone dressed up as a Zombie, gone to a taco stand for sesos and just requested "braaaaains!"?

I have not, but as God as my witness, I PROMISE you, that the next time I do a remake or some variation of Night Of The Living Dead, I will do a scene set in Chicago, and it will include several zombies forcing their way into a taqueria muttering "SayyyyySoooooooose" in that monotone fashion that we all know zombies speak in.

    I PROMISE you I will.

It's funny, I was talking with a friend who mentioned that a group of highschoolers had planned to descend on downtown Evanston dressed as and acting like zombies.

If it were me, brains would be the first thing I go for (so I had that thought, yes.) Since it was a group of teenagers, they apparently went for pizza.

Strange, I'd think teenagers would want to stand out from the crowd.

only those revisionist zombies from the crap Return of the Living Dead movies go solely for brains, old-school Romero zombies will eat any old piece of meat they can reach from a living human source. Fulci zombies will even go for shark when it's available :)

Excellent point. My favorite source of zombie mythos agrees.

However, for costume purposes, nothing conveys the "I'm a zombie" message more effectively than moaning "BRAAAAAAAINS", even if it is highly inaccurate on so many levels ;)
