Sopa de Camarones in Glenview?

Any solid Mexican place in this area? I checked LAZ's thread but I only saw one mexican restaurant -- el tipico which is a little far as I'm at Waukegan and Lake at the moment.

It doesn't have to be a destination-worthy soup, just something hot and satisfying to keep me from getting a cold?

Las Palmas is just north of you on Waukegan at Chestnut but it's kinda blah imho.

There's a small mexican place in a strip mall just south of Willow on Shermer called Taste of Mexico. They advertise soups on the weekends but I think it's pozole or menudo.

I live a few minutes from where you are and when I want mexican soup I make the trek to La Cazuela at Clark and Morse in Rogers Park or the arduous hike down to Los Gallos. There's just not a lot of great ethnic food up here.

Monica's has caldo de camaron and sopa de mariscos on their menu, but it's about just as far from you in the opposite direction as El Tipico. There's also a branch of Lalo's right by you that has seafood soup, but Lalo's is worse than Las Palmas.
