The Beatrice McIntosh Cookery Collection at the UMass Amherst Library makes for an interesting and fun browse. The cookbooks, pamphlets, and cooking emphemera are not digitalized, alas, but enough recipes and pictures are available to make the site worth a visit. As is often the case with old recipes, some look intriguing and many others look pretty awful. If you are looking for cute dinner party favors (or stocking stuffers), click on the link to print cookbook markers.

I love that there's a search of community cookbooks by town! My father's people are all from Mass. if I can remember the town where their dairy farm is, maybe I can find some of my ancestors' recipes!

    Thanks, Evy!

Fascinating, thank you for sharing! They even have a cookbook from my hometown church in Massachusetts. Too bad the contents are not accessible.
