Hi- This Saturday November 7 will be the last week for the Evanston farmer's market for this season. John First and Orianna are the only growers that told me that they were not coming this Saturday. The last week of the Evanston market, you can often get some great deals on squash, and other things. Nichols already had their wonderful garlic reduced by 50% last Saturday. One thing I like to do is buy lots of veggies the last week when I can get good deals, and store them in green plastic produce bags which can be purchased at Whole Foods. They used to be called Everfresh, and they are fantastic. They keep veggies fresh for at least a month. You can wash them out when you are done with them, and reuse them. I recently found out that Everfresh was taken over by Debbie Meyers, and so they are now sold under her name. I have not bought any recently under the Debbie Meyers name, but I am hoping that the bags are comparable to the Everfresh ones. They sell for $10 for 20 bags at the Evanston Whole Foods store, but for some reason they keep them in back, so you have to ask for them. Hope this helps, Nancy
