Grand Festival - Saturday's Grand Tasting will showcase over 50 producers of pinot noir. Consumers will be able to sample up to 300 pinots from every important region in California, Oregon, New Zealand, and Burgundy, and to meet the winemakers who create them. Attendees will have access to pinots previously unavailable in Illinois. Local specialty food purveyors will serve delectables that pair well with pinot. Click here for more information.
Winemakers Dinners - Chef John Caputo is a mastermind of pairings, and so he is right at home at Bin 36, Chicago's most renowned wine venue. His experience has breadth and latitude, too, he has worked with and learned from acclaimed chefs in the South of France, as well as some of the best kitchens in San Francisco including Masas, Campton Place and Gary Danko. His passion is pairing food with wine, and he does it brilliantly. His philosophy is to 'procure great ingredients, prepare them simply and let the individual ingredients speak for themselves.' His pinot-paired appetizers and four-course dinner will be one for the archives, and this dinner is one not to miss. Click here for more information.
