    Looking for someplace near Madison Square Garden for great lox & bagels. Prefer sit-down if possible.

    Also, if the bagel thing doesn't work out, would love a recommendation for dim sum.

    Nothing like short notice to make a trip exciting!

    Going to Springsteen? He's playing the entire "Wild, Innocent, and E Street Shuffle" album tomorrow night- the River on Sunday.

    Maybe I started a new trend? :D I meant to include that this was a good spot near MSG.

    While it is not exactly close to Madison Square Garden, I have enjoyed the bagels I've had at Ess-a-bagel. It's probably about a mile away from MSG. The bagels are of the very large, doughy variety. They also have a large menu. I hear it's a favorite of Rosalita.

    I like Ess-a-Bagel quite a bit, but it's probably closer to 2 miles from MSG . . . which is not so big a deal if you plan on taking the subway.
