Does anyone know if there's anyone offering home-delivery of organic milk in the city?

Peapod carries organic milk. Not what you were looking for, but it's an option. I think they're supplied with it by Wild Oats, the Whole Foods competitor.

Oberweis still delivers in Chicago I think. The milk is not organic, but is rBGH free. I also fine it has a superior flavor to most Organic Milk available. (Organic Valley, Horizon, TJ's) as it is not UP.

That said - UP is usually less expensive and my daughter can't taste the difference, so I do buy it for her. Oberweis is a once in a while treat.

Unfortunately, my daughters CAN taste the difference between Oberweis and other milk. We used to buy strictly organic, but it was because I was concerned about the rBGh content. We switched to Oberweis some time ago. Whenever I buy something else in a pinch (which is always some type of organic milk), they complain.

I have to admit, their fat free milk is as good as it gets -- tastes more like 2%, which is what I grew up on. My girls think the Oberweis 2% is too creamy.

Agreed. Their skim milk is richer tasting than the 1% I grew up on. I very rarely drink milk nowadays, but it's always oberweis when I do. The chocolate milk is my most common indulgence.

Just bumping this in case there are other suggestions. A co-worker who lives in Evanston is looking for milk delivery and does not want Oberweis. Thanks.

Irv & Shelly's delivers organic milk from Wisconsin Organics. You can set up a "standing order" with them so it just arrives weekly or every-other-week. They do carry a $5.50 delivery charge per order and a $15 minimum order, so your friend would have to use them for more than just a gallon of milk.
