Pecans

Hey LTHers:

I have a friend with 3 varieties of pecan trees in Alabama who is selling fresh pecans in the shell. They're $30 for about 12 pounds, that includes the $13.45 USPS priority shipping. Her words: "The papershell variety is easiest to crack. They're longer and the shells are thin. The Stewarts are meatier and more buttery tasting but harder to crack. Elliots are just slightly bigger than acorn size but have great flavor."
