Went there last night for the first time and tried some rib tips dry rub with sauce on the side. They were VERY good, meaty with good smoke to em, light not to smoked out....And fun to eat. YUM!
The sauce was killer! Got the hot BBQ sauce and it was warm to the touch and had great heat and flavor....I loved the hot BBQ sauce!!
Will be back to try the ribs and brisket SOON. Will have to check next time on there set up and smokers they use.
Has any one else checked smokin joes out yet?
Noticed they are selling smoked turkeys now...$45.00 a pop and 12-14lbs each.

I tried this place last year, and came away unimpressed. I remember having the tips and a hot link sandwich.

The link I remember because it was sliced lengthwise, tasted more like a polish than a hot link, and had the grill marks on it. It wasn't very good as it was rubbery and without much of a snap.

The rib tips I have to admit, I don't really remember very well except for thinking that Uncle Johns has nothing to fear. In fact, compared to Bon-a-Pit they were rather weak. For a place that advertised smoked meats, there wasn't a whole lot of smoke.

Tired the brisket and chicken a few days back. Brisket was ok, good flavor/smoke to it but was heavy on the fat, and it was hard to trim most of it out cuz it was all over the meat. Prob. would not get again. The pulled chicked was really good, great smoke flavor and done well. Like the chicken better than the brisket, still have not tried the ribs will have to check em out and report back. The sauce was killer on both got it on the side and was pretty hot with GREAT flavor.

These spares looked good smelled ok but tasted not so good. Being dry was the big problem. After I ordered dude pulled out a large plastic container from duh fridge, got my ribs to heat up on the grill....ugh! These bones suffered big time from being held in a container in duh fridge and time on the grill. But I do bet these would be good fresh out the smoker!
