    Jim,

I will keep the date open and will help with the cooking of the pig. I will definitely bring the family if coming! Sunday May 30th is our Annual Big Crawfish boil at Toons so as long it is not that date We will be in! ( you will be at the boil as well right!) We will pitch in on sides or whatever you need. Maybe I will bring a sack or 2 of crawfish?
    Thanks,
    Danny

My husband and I would love to attend. I voted for the first weekend as the third Sunday is Father's Day and the second may or may not conflict. I don't know yet about the rib cook-off as we haven't got that far yet in "Low and Slow." I replied that we'd chip in on the pig and I'll leave the sides to a later date.

    Thanks,

    Ms. Ingie

Date is set: Saturday, June 5 2010.

    Time: 1:00 p.m. til ????

Where: jimswside's house & property out in Marseilles, IL.

    Schedule:
    Pig roast approx. 2:00 p.m..
    Appetizers can start @ 1:00 p.m.

Ill start the list on this post, looking to cap attendance @ around 65* people. What folks are bringing, etc can wait til later , so can attendees rsvp if unsure.

I know its early to start putting this together, but to pull off this event it takes alot of planning & organization, that and I have to put in for next years vacation time this upcoming week, and want to give folks as much time as possible to plan their own schedules to increase the ammount of folks that can atend. I could also use some help this year in regards to organization, ideas, etc.

Come on out... have a blast, and some bbq

    Attendees: (66*)

    Jim,

The Chow Poodle & I will be attending, barring some as yet unknown conflict. I'm not sure what I'll be bringing yet, but I'm not going to be in the contest. I may be willing to judge, though (should be KCBS certified by then). Of course, I'll chip in on the pig.

    Thanks! Jim!

Had such a great time last year, My Bride and I have a strong desire to attend. Nothing on the calender and it would be hard to bump this event.

    Put us down for two.

While ribs are not my forte I will be bringing my smoker along and will be smoking something all day long. :)

Speaking of a whole pig, I have a fond memory of sitting on the top of a verdant green mountain in Hawaii at a luau while there was a monster pig being cooked in a pit in the ground. I am sure I can re-visualize that memory sitting in your backyard. :)

    Hi Jim,
you can put me down +5
    It's unlikely I'll do cook-off ribs,
but I will bring something else to eat
and will chip in on the piggie as well.

    Jim-

We may have a conflict that weekend, but I won't know for a month or two. Would it be bad form to hold two spots for me and Mr. X? We would chip in on the pig. No cook-off for us.

    Thanks.
