turkob did such a great job planning today's inaugural Loop Lunch Group event, so here I am trying to ruin it by planning the next one at a place that might be too far west for some. Sorry, but the soups at Korean Seoul Food are really good for blustery January weather, so I hope I'll be forgiven. Post here to hold a spot, and I'll give the restaurant a heads up a few days in advance. Edit: just called the restaurant to inquire about table size, and the cap will be set at 12 for this event.

I'm planning on it. The Clinton Blue Line stop is just a two minute walk from there, so this shouldn't be too tough for many folks in the Loop.

    Thanks for organizing,

Just in case anyone is figuring out how to get there on the CTA, it's 560 W. Van Buren St, (not ave)...
Thanks for organizing Kenny. I'm still deciding if Korean is the best thing for me to eat in the middle of the day, and return to work. The last time I ate Korean BBQ, my husband said I smelled of garlic for days....

Thanks for the transit tip. Though I do think they have Korean BBQ, that's not the thing at this place. The panchan's good, as are a few other things, but it's really all about the soups, which are of the meal-in-a-bowl variety.

    Looking forward to lunch tomorrow.

KSF does a lunch buffet in addition to the regular menu, and the owner asked me if we were planning to do that, or order off the menu. If many of us wanted the buffet, they wanted to prep for that in advance, since we'd probably double the usual turnover. I told him no - we'd rather order off the menu. I hope that's OK with everyone. I really think the soups - and perhaps other regular menu items - are better than the buffet. And it does all come with panchan.
