I am about to take on a temporary assignment which will make my work days much longer than usual. Since I will miss out on cooking I am looking to hire someone to cook our meals for us for about 2 months. Can anyone recommend a chef who will either prep meals in our home or deliver them?

If you do hire someone to cook in your home, please be sure to lay out ground rules very clearly in advance (preferably in writing) for how equipment and other things in your kitchen should be used. We had someone cooking meals in our home, issues ensued, and it ended in a very messy fashion.

You can visit the American Personal and Private Chef Asssociation website at http://www.personalchef.com and follow the "Find a Personal Chef" link to search for personal chefs in your area. I used to be a member and a practicing personal chef but that was many years ago so I'm not comfortable recommending anyone in particular. I recommend you call two or three that serve your area and interview them before making a selection. Most of them have their own web sites that you can access from the APPCA website so you can get a feel for what they have to offer before calling. Good luck.
