Locatelli is a very good maker of pecorino romano; it is widely available at Italian specialty shops. Whole Foods does not carry it, for reasons obscure, but you will be able to find it at many places. I'm not near the northshore but here in the city, these places all carry it, I believe:
Graziano's
Conte di Savoia
Bari
Joseph's
Riviera
Probably also Panozzo's (I haven't checked)
Also: Freddy's in Cicero, the Caputo groceries in the west and northwestern suburbs...Und so weiter und so fort....
I wouldn't be surprised if, for example, Treasure Island grocery stores carry it, but I can't remember for sure... All in all, it's not hard to find...
