Hagerstown, MD: Last minute stopover

It appears I will be in Hagerstown, MD this weekend for a one-night stopover. Just curious if anybody has been and has a rec to throw out there for a seafood joint.

I haven't seen more of Hagerstown than the gas stations and outlet malls. I'm not sure much interesting is there, but feel free to prove me wrong. You're quite a ways from the water in Hagerstown, so I'm not sure how much local seafood you're going to get.

I'd suggest driving over to Frederick, MD, which is a charming town with loads of antique stores. Brian Voltaggio (of Top Chef fame) has (had?) a restaurant there, Volt. IIRC, there are many acceptable dining options, including a passable Spanish spot, if it's still there.

Berkeley Springs, WV, in the other direction, is also lovely and much smaller than Frederick. It's more of a resort town. I spent a relaxing long weekend there years ago, and recall eating well.

When I google mapped Hagerstown, I was disappointed that we'd be that far from the water. Unfortunately, driving somewhere else isn't an option. I'll be up there as part of a volunteer operation for my local Humane Society and I'll be driving the "company" van, so I'm not comfortable with the idea of putting extra mileage on it for the sake of a meal. That, plus after the approximately 9 hour drive up there from central Kentucky, I'll be looking to limit the drive time anyways. I've got a couple hot leads from a google search on Hagerstown, so we'll see how it goes. I gotta believe that my seafood options there will exceed what I'm currently faced with in my new hometown. I live in hope.
