I bought matzo meal the other day planning on making matzo meal pancakes. I shopped at Garden Fresh in Northbrook and bought an Israeli brand I had never heard of before. Anyway, I have always used Mannashevitz or Streits before and the recipe was on the box. Since I only make them once a year I don't remember how. Does anyone have a recipe.
    Thanks

    Paulette,

I don't have a recipe for you, but would you mind posting the address for Garden Fresh? I had some Hummus that was bought there a few weeks ago and it was outstanding. I'd like to buy some for myself.

    Steve
This Garden Fresh is in Northbrook on Skokie Highway between Dundee and Lake Cook in the shopping center with Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls.
There is one in Wheeling which I don't like found it crowded and dirty. I have said if this was the only Garden Fresh I had been too I would not return. There is also a small on across the street from A & G Fresh Market in the 5700 block of west Belmont which I haven't gone to.

The one in Northbrook is clean with wide aisles. They carry quite an array of ethnic and imported foods. They carry Bobaks brand prepared foods. They also have quite a large Kosher section including meat. I have found their produce and meat to be excellant and prices pretty good. I find I have shopped there frequently when I visit my daughter.
