In anticipation of checking out the Chinese New Year's parade in Chinatown on Sunday:

Can folks offer recommendations of the best places to grab a bite to eat and go, rather than sit in a restaurant?
What can I expect to find in the way of edibles on the street? (I'm thinking carts and/or trucks rather than used gum.)
Also: Is there a best place to view the parade?

    Thanks folks!

Sorry but there are no food carts or trucks in Chinatown. Your best best is to go into one of the bakeries on Wentworth or 22nd and grab a few savory and sweet buns to eat out of hand.

Can I get recommendations for good bakeries & their specialties, then?

I've been to Chinatown during festivals and restaurants have been selling food out on the street, although I wouldn't exactly call it "street food" (if that makes any sense).

Kevin Pang has posted a useful guide/photogallery to Chinatown at the Trib's web site (I believe it's also in today's print edition). . .
