Well, I don't think I'm going to manage to duplicate their sauce. But here's something I made that hit the spot, and was a terrific dish.
Sauce:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
About 1/2 to 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
Juice of 1 lemon
Grated fresh ginger, about an inch worth
Sorry for the "guestimates" it's the best I have.
I sauteed some chicken, sliced it. Served it over pearl couscous with steamed snow peas and this sauce.
Wow, was that good.
OK, the Silver Lake dish is rice, shrimp, scallops and broccoli. I did something different because it was two nights in a row.
I know my sweetened condensed milk/heavy cream sauce is not the same as the restaurant, but it's quite good and easy. I do think there was a sweetened lemon in the restaurant sauce, and believe the lemon/ginger flavors were the same.
