I will be making bar cookies such as lemon bars, pecan bars and cheesecake bars among others and freezing them for my grandson's bar mitzvah. Is it best to freeze them in paper cups after I cut them or freeze them and place them in the cups when we defrost them.

Also should I freeze them on a sheet pan and then place them in baggies or should I freeze them in plastic containers that are then wrapped in plastic.

    Hi Paulette~

Bars for a bar mitzvah? I vote for freezing the bars as a solid piece, then cutting and placing them in cups after they are defrosted. Some of the bars might be easier to cut when frozen (cheesecake) and some might require full thawing before they can be cut.
