I'm working on getting an exact figure, but it will probably be in the neighborhood of $30 all inclusive.

Please add to the wait list Chloe 54 + 1.
I got in on the Purple Pig lunch so I'm hopeful, but that's quite a long list! :)

The official word is that beer purchases should be made from the restaurant. Any other type of booze is BYOB. Those of us that do not drink beer would very much appreciate it if you paid for your beers separately to help keep the dinner price down. Speaking of dinner price, expect the cost to be approx $20/person including tax & tip. Such a deal!

Stevez - What are your thoughts on expanding this to party of 30, 3 tables of 10, given the overwhelming interests? Surely, LTH who caters wedding banquets can handle 30, or is it more of keeping a smaller group for the warm fuzzy camaraderie?

Sorry, This dinner is limited to 20 people. I've tried bigger parties there in the past, but IMHO 20 seems to be the optimal party size for LTH to serve while still being able to handle the large volume of take out business that they do.

    petite_gourmande,

There is nothing to say that you couldn't arrange another dinner the following week, even using stevez's menu (I don't think that is considered plagiarism!). And perhaps some of GWiv's chili oil will be left behind. I'm sure that we would have enough interest for a second dinner. I would certainly be interested in that.

It's more of a tribute to the stevieZ and GWiv, rather than plagiarism. I will find out who I should contact at the restaurant to make arrangements if there is still interest for a sequel.

So, if it can't be expanded to more people, can it be expanded to more than one night? I'm flying in from Michigan that day, so I didn't sign up, as I don't trust flying into O'Hare during the winter. But if there is a huge number on the waiting list, might a second night be a possibility? I've never been to LTH, and I'd rather like to try it someday.

I realize that there is a fat chance that this many people would become ill or back out of this event. Regardless, I'd love to be put on the waiting list for this event, +1.

cant express how much I am looking forward to this dinner on Thursday night(great food, great LTH company), from the looks of the planned menu I am anticipating the meal to be one of the 10 best I will have in 2010. I might have to go to Chinese Kitchen for lunch today as I am craving some Chinese food in advance of this event.

Anyone interested in getting together for a few drinks before hand drop me a pm, or respond here. I will probably get into the city between 5:30 & 6:00 depending on traffic. Bertucci's(24th @ Princeton), as recommended on another thread, might be a good option, or another spot is all good.

I might be there! How's that for noncommittal? I'm going to drive in from Niles at 5:30, so hopefully it doesn't take 90 minutes to get there so I can join in the drinking.

This Thursday's dinner conflicted with a Board meeting. Would love to be part of dinner at LTH another night.

What's the best way for me to get there? CTA or car? I'd either be on the road around 5:30 taking I94 all the way or the Blue Line to Red.

From Niles. If I drove, I'd get on 94 at Peterson, and if I took the El I'd start from Jefferson Park. I just wondered, since the El takes an hour, if that's still better than traffic at that time of day.

I think driving would be faster (maybe 45 minutes), but fairly stressful.
