Anyone else in town for the KBIS show? Would love to assemble an LTH quorum for Monday night (or Monday lunch) May 9th.

(I know we have the Events section, but this felt more apt over here!)

I wish I was going, but I don't even know what KBIS stands for  .

As long as you are in Vegas, don't miss Chowsfor a Dim Sum lunch. AFAIC, both Chows and LOS are musts for any Vegas visit.

    re Chow's
How good is it? Is it as good weekdays as weekends? We have ok dim sum here in Atlanta.

The best dim sum I've had was a few years ago at Harbor Seafood in Millbrae ten minutes from SFO, although I haven't been back to my ancestral homeland in Queens to compare since Flushing morphed into Number 7 train notoriety courtesy of former Braves pitcher John Rocker.

With regards to Harbor Seafood, it caused an unforgiveable lapse into hyperbole, posted on another board "....dumplings and taro were very good. The shark's fin soup--a stuffed cabbage sized dumpling filled with flesh and vegetables afloat in an intense triple reduction chicken stock, and some small round meat filled dumplings were both transcendental, and caused the spirits of 10,000 grandmothers to hover around the table."

Chow's is world class, and packed every day for lunch and dinner with a mostly Asian crowd.
