As you might have noticed, I recently started a thread seeking a recommendation for a French restaurant serving the classics. Since then, I've gotten a number of suggestions and have spent a great deal of time poring over menus. I'd like to try several over the course of this coming weekend since the Lovely Dining Companion will be out of town and I need to occupy my time instead of pining away. I'd prefer not to dine alone and what better than a chance to share a meal with my fellow LTHers. I'm not looking to put together a large group; I think ideally there would be somewhere between three to six of us. So I post now to see whether anyone would be interested in joining me for dinner next Monday at Brasserie Jo at 6 pm. (Time, of course, subject to getting a reservation.) I know it's not the best time, but the Monday special is cassoulet and I love the menu in general. Anyone interested?

I really like Brasserie Jo, but the cassoulet was the one thing I've eaten there that I would never get again. That might just be because I don't like cassoulet, but I thought the stuff had the texture of cement mix and flavor that went very little beyond melted fat and thyme.
