I invite you to come by Terry's Toffee, 1117 W. Grand Ave, and taste our 11 flavors of gourmet toffee based on my Grandmother's classic English Toffee recipe. We use Guittard Chocolate, (milk, white and dark) to enrobe our sensuous and exotic array of flavors. We were selected for the prestigious honor of this year's 77th Annual Academy Awards Gift Basket and are getting rave reviews from people like Tim Robbins, Halle Berry, Salma Hayak, Mike Myers, Sean Hayes and a slew of other celebrities - as well as - and just as importantly - people throughout the Chicago area (and now the U.S.) who are flipping over our toffee. And now we are doing a line of 5 flavors of toffee biscotti! We infuse our biscotti with the toffee flavors, layer them with the toffee of that flavor and then coat the top in dark, milk or white chocolate. People are becoming addicted to them. And we just recently launched our line of toffee infused ice creams. Oh yeah! Sold by the pint - grab one and go! We are a small store, with a big heart and we want to reconnect you with your true sense of taste. Our products are all hand-made in our store. Come on by! Check our website for hours.

Just thought I'd give everyone an update on where we went. We had a great time going around Saturday to 13 chocolate stores. We're going to go to 7 more to complete our quest. Vosges was by far our favorite. Who knew curry and chocolate would go together so well. Here's the final list

    Australian Homemade
    Begian Chocolatier Piron
    Blue Cat
    Chocolate Cafe
    Ethe's Chocolate Lounge
    Godiva
    Graham's Fine Chocolates
    House of Fine Chocolates
    Lindt Chocolates
    Long Grove Confectionery
    Margie's Candies
    Marshall Fields Frangos
    See's Candies
    Vanille
    Vosges
    Fannie May
    Bonbon
    Anderson's
    teuscher
    Ghirardelli

Not all are chicago based chocolate stores but they're all tasty. Our fridge is now filled with tinfoil wrapped/plastic bag sealed airtight chocolates. Hopefully our wedding guests enjoy them.

The Vosges naga is sooooo good. Did you get a chance to try their caramels? The Hawaiian salt and the blood orange/campari are particular favorites of mine.

    Ben,

I cannot imagine your guests responding very well to this idea. I hope you will later drop us a note advising how it went in practice.

    Regards,

Care to specify why you think my guests won't respond well to this idea? I'm just curious, everyone who I've shared the idea with loved it?

Poorly stated phrasing ... I was in a rush.

I meant to say I cannot imagine anyone NOT loving this idea. I'm just as interested find out if everyone did mingle from table to table exchanging chocolates and socializing as you imagined.

    Congratulations!
