I'm going to have lunch here tomorrow...

Never tried it, and know nothing other than what's on the sign. Anyone care to join me?

If I wasn't going to be sitting in the dentist's chair at that very moment, I'd be there, too. I'm hoping for the best.

Kenny and all, you may want to call first to make sure they are open. In the past week when I walked past around 11 am, they were closed, place was dark, mail on the floor below the mail slot.

That's too bad. I considered that possibility, and just figured we'd go somewhere on the block or the next one if they're closed.

I'm confused. From what I can see of the sign, it appears to me that this place is only going to be open on weekends.

No, those are pretty typical weekend specials for a taqueria, pozole, menudo, etc. It's just advertising the weekend offerings in particular, preusmably.

That was my take too, but who knows. A weekend-only spot on this stretch would be odd, but I suppose it's possible. It's also possible - even likely perhaps - that the grand opening has not taken place yet. Luckily we have plenty of options a stone's throw away if so.

Thank you to the folks that joined me for a pleasant lunch. Unfortunately, it was not at the unknown taqueria, as the Grand Opening advertised in the sign appears to have been delayed. The place did look ready to go, but it was locked up. We instead ended up at San Matias, and had a very nice lunch even though the trompo was not turning any pastor yesterday.
